feast your eyes–the eye health cookbook

feast your eyes-the eye health cookbook

“The co-author, Professor Mina Coroneo AO is an Australia based internationally known ophthalmologist who is chairman of the Look for Life Foundation, an Australian not for profit organization researching eye disease, seeking to assist the visually impaired. He and his wife, Hellene, with the support of 41 chefs from Australia and one from Spain, have compiled their eye health cookbook “feast your eyes-the eye health cookbook" using mostly traditional Mediterranean ingredients recommended to promote eye health, seafood, olive oil, vegetable tabouleh, okra masala and poached sardines with tomatoes to name just a few.

Included in the book is Professor Coroneo’s comprehensive, 38 page scientific section, written for a general audience, that explains the correlation between eye health and diet. His interest in penning this book was sparked by a visit to the island of Kythera, where there is a low prevalence of macular degeneration in the elderly.”

Internationally renowned chefs including Luke Mangan, Neil Perry and Maggie Beer, have contributed recipes that are both delicious as well as great for your eyes.

The cost of the book is $25.00 and can be ordered on line.
